I have just bought a new Sony TV - KDL-22EX553. I already have the previous models KDL-24EX320 and KDL-22EX320. Bought the new model as it also has FreeView HD. The reason i buy these TV's is because they have wired and WiFi Ethernet.
Now the problem i have is - I have all 3 TV's networked and connecting to my WD Live TV Hub via DLNA. My WD TV hub has all my home Video stored on it that are either MPG, M2TS or MP4 which are AVC H.264. The older EX320 TV's play ALL the video files no issues. But the new EX533 will not play the MP4 files - comes up with message "Playback not available". If i play from a USB stick they play but not over the network. I have a Sony RX100 camera which creates MP4 as well as M2TS and they work fine.
But was a bit disappointed to fnd that the older TV's have no issues with playing my MP4 files over the network but the new EX533 will not.
Does anyone have any ideas about this as i dont want to have to recode since 2 TV's work great. Documentation seesm to imply the same video files are supported but it seems the EX533 is very fussy about MP4.
