I have a KDL-19BX200 TV and the headphone jack is the only method to export audio to my external speakers. When watching DTV content the sound quality is fine. When watching HDMI or USB content the audio is overloaded and distorted through the headphone jack, TV speakers are fine.. This occurs for content played from several USB sticks and hard drives, and 2 different HDMI devices, one being a SMP-N100 and the other an Apple TV so I can deduce that the problem is not from the cables or USB devices.
This happens with all levels of volume, both the headphone jack volume and TV speaker volume. I have reset the TV setting several times.
I have installed the latest firmware update, thinking this might cure the problem but it still persists. Searching for this particular problem online doesn't show any solutions that I can see. Can anyone offer me some feedback on a solution?
