I have just bought a Sony kdl40hx753bu and am having problems with sync and sound output from my sony str dh800 amp. I also have a Sky HD box connected.
All connections are HDMI (including optical from receiver to sky box)
Control hdmi is on and the tv recognises the amp no problem.
However, if I select the "audio system" option in the TV sound menu, the amp switches channels to "TV", so no sound
I have to manually select hdmi 1 on the TV menu, then SAT on the amp menu to get sound and picture, which is a real pain
is there a way of the amp automatically switching on to the right channel when the tv is turned on?
any help greatly appreciated, as i'm going round in circles
