Xperia V all "Unfortunately....app is not working" message

Hi,

I started receiving this problem last night. My phone had given me issues so I tried rebooting it in Safe mode and then put it back.  All of a sudden my homepage was bombarded with messages about apps not working. Everything from Google Play, to Calendar, Moxier Pro, WhatsApp etc.

I tried clearing cache but that has not worked, I tried rebooting it in safe Mode but it failed. I keep switching the phone aon and off, to try again, but the messages pop up and freeze my screen, so I am essentially locked out of my phone. Please help!

Uninstall them > restart the phone > report back

The phone has been working alright, been able to text. Started uninstalling and the reports started coming up. Now my phone has restarted on its own. Waiting to see. I can't uninstall McAfee though

McAfee Still won't uninstall( the uninstall button isn't accessible) It says it is a Device Administrator. I tried deactivating and then uninstalling but it didn't work. I know McAfee expired months ago. Could it be the problem. I have restarted the phone as you asked, and I am down to the bare minimum of Apps. The reports haven't flashed yet, I just hope it stays that way

Excellent, backup your phone and then repair it with PCC, most likely it was the clean master app.

How do I repair it with PCC, if when I connect it to my computer, PCC says the phone isn't connected?

Thanks again for all your help!!

Uninstall PCC > restart the phone > reinstall PCC > disable any antivirus and firewall > run PCC > try again.

Followed all your instructions and it has worked. BAcked up my data on PCC

So, I reinstalled Instagram, and then the problem started again. It's so frustrating, because I am quite fond of the app. Could the issue be with the app, or do I need to reset?
