Xperia T2 Ultra / T2 Ultra Dual Lollipop issues and feedback

This thread is for T2 Ultra users to report any bugs after lollipop, before you do so, try the following:

If your battery drain faster or the phone seems slower or apps are crashing, it'll be wise to reinstall lollipop with PCC

even better if you update deleting all the apps and settings, keep in mind that by doing so, you can not use the backup & restore app to restore anything.

@Alexandre_Marques

Don't cross post, if PCC doesn't solve the issue, contact your local Xperia Care

Dear Sony Team,

I am using Sony mobile from resonably long time and one day the software update option popup and shows Update available to Lollipop, hence I have done the update but very unfortunate things happened after the update the followings. Also very important information my phone is around 10 months old.

1. Battery consumption has increased by 50% and its drain from 100% to 50% by 5 hrs time even if you are not engaged into

    any conversation.

2. The applications become real slow, the screen froze very often.

3. No real multitasking is possible now, internet browsing in 3G too is very sad, forget about 2G.

4. Wi Fi data transfer is drinking battery.

5. Phone Dial Pad responds at least after 7 seconds from touch to choose about calling sim option, and calles often frozed

    on screen.

6. Switching between Data SIM option in duel SIM Option is realy sad, it takes 1.5 minutes to get the option activated.

7. Camera is not as usual like before quality is detoriated.

The above problems were not occured during phone used with Kit Kat OS, please give option to go back to Kit Kat, no other help is required at least if you want to keep loyel customers like us. We have paid amount close to Rs. 24000/- and unable to use it, just imagine how disapointed we can be. At least provide the option to switchback to Kit Kat OS through your Sony Service Points, if not posible online.

Regards,

Santanu Sengupta.

Flashmode or Fastboot mode is only for those that wish to root and install a custom Rom or firmware, if that's what you want to do then head over to XDA - Howwever have you tried a system repair as this usualy fixes issues after an upgrade.

Performing a system repair using PC Companion will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data so best to backup before you begin

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

Hi @Sunnyron @s4alon

I suggest you to first run a backup of the device information like this:

http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/Backup-amp-Transfer/m-p/407253#U407253

Try performing a system repair using PC Companion:

http://support.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/

This will factory reset your phone and erase all data. You might need tocharge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 80% battery. Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device). Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process. If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP.

I hope can be useful.

I'm at disposal for any question.

Best Regards,
