Xperia Miro - Album app issue

Hi,

I'm using Sony Xperia Miro, when i was moving some file from the internal storage to my ext_sd card, i've incorrectly moved the default Android folder from the internal storage to the ext_sd inside which all the Android apps got installed. After which many of the apps were not working. Then, i again shifted those back to its existing location. But though the Preinstalled Album app is not working. I guess it should be because of the action i did. Is there a way i can reinstall it from any web source or get the s/w from the mobile shops/Xperia outlets without rooting the phone? or will there be any issue for my mobile if i root it and then reinstall those apps? Please help me...!!

i want to change my wallpaper. but everytime i select a picture in my album it says that unfortunately the album has stopped, how can i fix this?
