Wake locks issue

here are screen shots of my phone kept over two seperate nights.

The first screen shot is keeping wifi off for whole night,my phone doesnt sleep properly. On the other hand when i keep the wifi on the wake locks seem less.Is this a possible bug in ics as i am not the only one facing this problem. Also what are the possible solution for it . I hope sony fixes this issue in the next update.

This Topic is more than one year old, and anyway I experience the same problem with an Xperia L.

There have been 2 updates and the issue is still actual.

It usually happens when you switch off data connection. From that moment the device will be constantly active.

With the latest update (Android 4.2) you won't see the active bar, but BBS reveils the truth that "data dormancy" causes huge battery drain keeping the device active.

I'm on Sony Xperia MiniPro.

The same issue here.

Fast dormancy causes few thousand wakes an hour.

On one of discussion groups I've found following to cure issue:

''ro.semc.enable.fast_dormancy=false''

needs to be added to

''build.prop''

file.

unfortunately this is only for rooted users...

And it has a potential drawback of little higher network traffic on 2/3/4G...
