Slow conversation in phone calls

Hello,

I experience something strange with my Xperia SP.

Now and then (I am almost sure it does not occur every time, but it is quite frquent), my phone calls are slow. I mean : there is a delay between the time I speak and the time the other person hears me (and in the other way too). Exactly like when you call someone on the other side of Earth. It happens even if the person is in the same street, and with different persons, calling from various phones.

It is very disturbing, the conversation becomes almost impossible, because you begin to answer a sentence which in fact is not finished, and poeple womder if I am drunk when I call them!

It is not due to a large number of apps running, I usually have almost none.

Does anyone know what can cause this and how to repair it ?

Go to Settings -> Call -> Make sure that "Slow Talk" is disabled.

Yes!

It was enabled. I did not call yet since I unchecked it, but it looks like it was probably the answer.

I did not even imagine such an option would exist, so I did not check for that.

I imagine I checked it without noticing, while looking for something else.
