My Xperia will not save new contacts any more, not manually nor from a shared sms or WhatsApp contact. It used to do it before and memory is not full, I dud delete some old contacts in case this was the problem, it still will not save new contacts

are you trying to save them to the phone's memory or to Google contacts?
