Messaging stopped

Im using sony t2 ulta dual sim, it was working all good until today, because suddenly while sending a message it stopped working, i mean when i try open the message icon it says, "unfortuantely messaging has stopped" i have restarted the phone but the problem presists.

Hi @Fatimah1, sorry to hear about this.

I would recommend that you start with clearing the data for the Messaging application. This will not delete any SMS or MMS messages that you have sent or received!

Do do that, go to Settings > Apps > and scroll to the right until you end up at the menu called "All", scroll down and find Messaging, tap on it and tap on "Clear data" > OK.

If there is no change after the application data has been reset, try rebooting your phone in safe mode. That way we can make sure that a downloaded application isn't the cause of this!
