I updated the phone to Android 4.1.2, just this week (August 2013). Now holding the "home" button does no longer produce a list of recently used apps (as it used to), but a google search is opened. Is this a failure of the software? Is there another way to produce the list of apps? Might the app "Sidebar Lite" cause this problem?

Thank you very much indeed, FolkCleric. I searched the web for the solution and probably would have searched ever after ...
I don´t understand that I could not find information about this new thing in android similar toa "double click". Is this a SONY specialty?
And coming to an end: Why isn´t the other way around? To open the search by touching the home key seems new, so the new double touch should do this.
THNX A LOTTTT
I agree.... they should have implemented the feature the other way around... or maybe using the menu key... (long tap)
It is the same feeling for me when they ditch the 2-finger scrolling feature... that was one of the most loved unique features this phone had.... In long list such as "All Aplications" under settings, you could go up and down the list very quickly... not anymore...
