Jelly Bean update for Xperia Tipo

Dear Sony,

I am using Tipo from last 2 months with ICS but I still dont understand why you people haven't gave a JB update for this. In one of the post I have read that to give a JB update it depends on lot of parameters like resolution, internal storage, RAM, CPU speed etc... But when I saw a JB update for Samsung Galaxy Music I was totally shocked. Tipo has same CPU speed, internal storage, and a better screen resolution(except RAM tipo 2.9Gb usable music 4 Gb usable). I kindly request you to give one last update to this mobile.:smileycry:

It's quite easy, it's because they released a newer phone. The Sony Xperia E.
Which has (partly) about the same specs as Tipo, but comes with Jellybean out of the box.
If they'd update Tipo, less people would buy the new E.

Also, the Tipo hasn't got less RAM than the Galaxy music.
The amounts you posted were the internal memory's.
Both phones got 512MB RAM, but the Galaxy Music has got 850Mhz processor where we've got an 800Mhz one.

As of right now, there are no plans to update Xperia Tipo to JellyBean/4.1. All information regarding updates are found on our blog.

i am so disappointed that there is no plan to upgrade it to Jelly Bean maybe ill just buy another one...not xperia e its slow..Samsung or Sony

But Sony had announced that all the smartphone that were released in 2012 will be updated to Jelly Bean....

read this, Xperia U, Sola, Tipo, Miro are not on the list.

if you guys seriously want Jelly Bean on your xperia Tipo ST21i then install a custom rom.

Sony Ericsson have made it law to be able to unlock your bootloader on all Sony Ericsson handsets to allow for the install of custom roms.

I have Jelly Bean 4.1.2 on mine and it blazingly fast and as smooth as butter
