How can I take a screen shot in Android 4.0?

Not sure of Android 4.0 but give this a try

Keep pressing the power button. Screenshot option will be available among the options listed. (Works in Jelly Bean)

For ICS, hold the volume down key and power button at the same time and the screen shot will be taken.

Use custom kernel. You will get screenshot option in power menu
