I've deleted an App but the stupid phone is still trying to update it - endlessly, on & on - & it's draining the battery. Obviously it will never update as the App is no longer there! I've tried switching the phone off for some time & back on again - twice - but this does not stop it. The phone is also not connected to the internet so I don;t know where it thinks it's updating from!
Please can someone advise me how to make this stop?
(NB: I once posted a similar problem to this under a different account; but for some reason this website will not let me into my usual account so I've had to create a new one!).

Hi Alami08,

You could simply try re downloading the application and then allowing the update to take place, once done remove the app.
Let us know how you get on.
You are talking about apps from google play? Just select do not auto update apps from google play settings.
Thanks - no it's a Panasonic camera app I installed but never use so I uninstalled it, so there is now no trace of it in the Apps list, except this stupid thing which keeps trying to update it all the time & obviously can't because the app is not there! I assumed it would simply stop trying to update when I uninstalled the app.
Where have you installed it from? Are you sure it is uninstalled? Go to settings-apps-all,look for it.

Thanks! This fixed it; I had to reinstall the app & then uninstall it. Thanlks very much (I'm the same person who posted this; had to log in via a different account as the site login was messing me about...).
No problem, the other account has been banned.
Great news, glad we could help resolve this
