I can't seem to remove this & think it appeared when I synced with Gmail. I've tried blanking all of the fields, but it still comes up with my gmail address before I press 'Edit'.

gwhispererz and i were just talking nothing related to the topic..sorry if that confused you..
No problem. Think at another angle, in event that phone is lost, if a kind soul finds it, the phone number will surely help. :smileyhappy:.
Anyway, you still have the option to leave it blank or enter anything you like.
i did not think of this thanks for letting me know
No problem .... just looking at different angles.
It is true that I can edit the entry to the point where I can add info but I don't seem to be able to change the mobile number. I can only add a new one but the new one doesn't show up in the contact list - always the old one.
Any ideas how I can change it?
I've had the same problem since I got my new xperia U last month, but I finally found the solution.....
I've got another mobile I keep in my car for emergencies.....
I simply swapped sim cards (both on t-mobile) and the xperia updated to my other sims details.
I then re-inserted the original sim into the phone and the xperia updated with the correct phone details in the "myself" entry.
(Only slight problem is that phone listing starts with +44 rather than with a zero.)
