battery draining fast

the android OS is draining my battery. i dont know what is the cause of this, it started around thursday-friday

specs: xperia V, android version 4.1.2

Hard to pinpoint what the cause can be. Did you install any new application or similar when this behaviour appeared? You can always boot the phone into safe mode to see if same thing happens:

Otherwise, I suggest that you download a wakelock detector app from Google Play to see if there are many wakelocks from a specific app which is causing the OS to not enter sleep mode.

The problem is already solved. All i did was to turn on battery extended mode for a day and when i turned it off it didnt happen again.
