Hi Team,
My sony M5 after batter replacement started acting really weired. After changing the phone to 100%, the battery does not show the historical data. It starts the data from the right side of the Screen (Screenshot attached).
Also, previously my phone used to winthstand for at least day and half with normal mode, but now, even in Standby mode, it does not even comple close to a day.
Battery starts to drain very rapidly for no reason (No wifi or data). Here in the screenshot it shows the Wifi usage, but I've not used WiFi since the phones charge. And, Android OS is consuming more battery now.
Please help!!!!
@Pratheep the chart seems correct, it's the same I can see in my C5 Ultra with Android 6.
What concern me is that the battery life is really low, can you try restarting your phone in safe mode? If in safe mode the battery life is better then you may want to perform a software repair using Xperia Companion as it may be an installed app the one that is draining the battery.
@YoGem the only thing bugs me is that I've not used WiFi since my full charge, but it shows that 11% of the battery was consumed out of some thing which I've not used.
I've already tried booting in the safe mode, still my battery drains so fast ant it last less than 9 or 8 hours in total (Not using 3G or WiFi).
I've even taken the phone to the service center, but that guy was tell these phones will last a max of 9 hours a day (from 100% to 0%), this doesn't make any sense.
Need anymore information?
Hello...
can any one help me?
Hi,
I found that Wi-Fi Scanning is usually automatically switched on even though your Wi-Fi is disabled (therefore eating your battery).
Try going settings > location > top right 3 dots > scanning > switch off Wi-Fi scanning and bluetooth scanning.
This stopped Wi-Fi eating my phone battery. Also for what its worth I have found that with mobile data on, many apps with restricted background data and location switched off - i get 1 - 2 days battery life depending on usage.
Hopefully that solves your issue?
