Xperia L1, doesnt turn on at all but red light flashes when charging

I have an xperia l1 that will not turn on what so ever the screen is just permanently black. The phone will not force restart and doesnt vibrate or anything when trying to turn it on. When i plug it in to charge it does nothing but flash the red notification light.

Have you tried charging your phone using different cables/sockets? It is advised to use an original Sony charger as other chargers may be too weak or too strong as they may have a different electric current rating (mA). It is recommended that you use a charger that is plugged into a wall socket instead of using a computer (and USB cable) to charge your device. Also, Try to make sure that the charging port is completely dry, and gently remove any lint or dust using, for example, a wooden or plastic toothpick.

Another thing to keep in mind is that if the battery is drained, it may take up to 30 minutes for your device to respond to the charging. During this time, the screen may remain completely dark, not showing the charging icon. Also note that it can take up to 4 hours for a completely drained battery to charge fully.

If the phone still does not turn on after a force restart, you may try a two minute restart. Press and hold down both the volume up key and the power key for 120 seconds, ignoring any vibrations.

Hola, mi Xperia L1 no enciende, sólo hay una luz roja que parpadea al conectarlo a un cargador.

ya intenté con el reinicio de 2 minutos, traté de restaurar el sistema operativo con Xperia companion y a la hora de conectarlo a la pc actua como si lo estuviera conectando y desconectando constantemente y no deja que el programa proceda a la reparación del sistema.

Have you tried charging your phone using different cables/sockets to see if the phone behaves differently? Also, try removing the SIM card and SD card if you have one. If the phone starts up as usual without a SIM card or SD card mounted, the cards may be damaged and in need of replacement.

In that case it might be related to hardware, yes. I would suggest that you get in contact with your local support team in order to have your phone sent to an authorized service center.
