In most cases this is due to the SD card or the SD card reader in the device so we will have to try and narrow it down to what the cause could be.

How often does this occur, is it on a daily basis?

A good place to start is to use a different SD card in the device and see if that is also unmounted, without you unmounting it. If that SD card works fine and is not unmounted automatically, you can try and format your current SD card and see if that helps, otherwise there is something wrong with the SD card.
