had this unit for 3 weeks now. this problem happened once before and was solved by unplugging from the mains . now that does not fix the problem. ive changed hdmi leads, ive even changed tvs , ive unplugged sky box, ive unplugged ps3. remember up till last night all has been wortking fine.
the sound was fantastic im really struggling to not take this back i dont want this hassle to continue.
any ideas ? but remember this all worked fine up till last night

At this stage, the only advice I have for you, is to ensure that you have the latest firmware installed, and factory reset the DN1040

When it goes to a blank screen - Is the DN1040 cutting out completly (ie switching off), can you still hear audio?

Is any message in the window on the 1040 ??? I've had PROTECTOR circuit switch in which cuts everything out....caused by bad speaker connections or messing with my speakers.
