BDV E300 connectef to a KD43XE7073 Very bad picture, any setting i should be aware of?

I have these two Sony machines, but it's like the two are incompatible.

Blu Rays look like bad rip off DVD's, DVD's look like Betamax rip offs on VHS...

Saw Blade runner 2049, very apprehensively, at the cinema.

The only reason i didn't want to watch it on my Home system was the NEW TV.

Really wish I'd watched it on my 15 yr old Sharp TV.

Permanently think I should switch back.

Is there a setiing for the BD player on the TV that will make it look good on the TV?

I REALLY don't want this to be my last Sony purchase... But it is close.

Hello @Natball22,

and the Disk you are playing it definetly a BD? Some releases of the Godfather feature two disks inside, one being the BD and the other one being the DVD.

As last resort I would set the TV to "Game mode" for the input your player is connected to, just to ensure that no image enhancing effects are in play. If something is mis-configured or simply glitching out (and causing the bad quality), it will then not affect the image due to all of these settings being deactivated in game-mode.

Game mode seems better, but not great. Tried new HDMI lead.

And moved centre speaker away from BD player, seems better.

  Will let you know.

  Thanks again.
