BDP S490

When using the bdp s490 on netflix,lovefilm,vidio unlimited all is fine but on BBC iplayer it keeps freezing up.

Our tdl 40 nx723 tv is fine as is a freesat hd stb on iplayer, all use the same router the ethernet cable from the bluray to router has been replaced but it still freezes on iplayer.

Any ideas please or is anyone else having this problem.

Hi, did you ever get your iPlayer working?

I bought my 490 late last year and have still not managed to get BBC iPlayer to work at all - yet 5 on demand works fine, so I know the internet connection is fine!!

Looking at the forums it does seem to be recuuring problem with BBC iPlayer not working on many Sony players!!

Actually found an answer on one of the 185 forums that has got my S490 working fine with iPlayer now!!

In the Menu Section go to Internet Browser

Then on handset select Options

Go to Browser Setup

in that section Set Javascript setup to Valid

simple as that and all currently working!
