BDP-S1500

I recently bought a BDP- S1500 player and have been unable to connect to the internet . I have tried everything that has been stated on other answers albeit about other models , From facory reset to manually filling in the IP address etc .  I have just switched over to fibre internet and wonder if anyone else has had a problem setting up a device after switching over ? Any help appreciated

I am curious to why there is a sudden surge of  network connectivity issues.  Can you please answer the following - just seeing if there is a common cause.

 

  1. What ISP are you with?
  2. What Router (brand/model) do you have?
  3. Has there been a recent firmware update to the router?
  4. What firmware version is your router on?
  5. Is the issue the same on both wired and wireless connections
