CMT-SBT100B home audio system
For the second successive time, with different models, the CD player on a Sony micro system has developed a fault after a certain amount of use. Hard to describe exactly, but it doesn't seem to read the CD correctly and certain elements of the overall sound are either enhanced or decreased, so that the original reproduction is subtly wrong.
Is this just "in-built obsolescence"?

Hi SirBob1966,
This sounds really weird. Does this happen with all of the CDs you've tried? Is there anything that you go through to reproduce this issue?
Cheers,
