can be used for avatars.

I think there's a bit of luck involved in the process. I followed the instructions, cropped the photo and it was added (after 2 goes) to the little section of avatars on the right hand side. You then click the little box and it should change.
Do you have space on the right hand side for 'custom avatars' with the default ones?
