Hello all, I have a Sony DCR-TRV18 Camcorder. I finally got a battery charger for it and finally got it working after many years. It's in good condition but there seems to be an issue with the importing. I recently installed PlayMemories from Sony where you can import your photos easily from your Sony cameras. Now, I have a Cyber-shot DSC-P10 and with the 8MB memory stick (which works with both camcorder and cybershot camera) I was able to easily import all the old photos that were in the Cyber-shot. When I plugged in my camcorder, PlayMemories automatically opened and recognized/acknowledged the camcorder but there are no photos or videos. Before I plugged in the camcorder using USB, I took some videos and pictures and when I hit the "-EDITSEARCH+" on the top right of the camcorder, I was able to see some old footage from years n years ago and the new recorded footage I took recently. Another issue is with the camcorder is when I go to Memory on the side of the camcorder with the buttons and hit play or index, it says "NO FILE". And even when I go to file on my computer (with the camcorder plugged in) and go to where my camera is with the files, there isn't anything at all. What can I do?
Hi @sjain127
If you go to USBCONNECT in the menu settingsand select PTP, you can copy “Memory Stick”images from the camcorder onto your computerwithout installing the USB driver.
