Only if the PC has an HDMI input and the software for shooting or streaming does it detect the device connected to it.

Hello @arikw1,

to use your camcorder like a webcam, you need to get a so called "HDMI Capture Card", a device with a HDMI Input and a USB-plug.

I personally use the ELGATO Camlink (4K) which works perfectly with all the cameras I have (Sony FDR X1000, Sony FDR X3000, Sony FDR AX100, Sony FDR AX700, Sony RX0m2).
