Connecting a Hi8 Handycam to XP with SP3

Is there a special Driver that I can get that will allow me to connect my Sony video Hi8 Handycam to my computer running XP with SP3 please?

I've been told that I need a driver called USB DRVEN.EXE and the Sony support site offers a link to this driver but when you get there there's just the name of the driver and no download facility what-so-ever, pretty useless really.

Could you please let me know the exact model number for the camera and the link for the Sony site where you are trying to download the file from and I will check it out for you.

On the other hand, for a Hi8 Handycam I would be inclined to use something like a USB capture card to capture video onto the hard drive of your computer. These are relatively inexpensive and easy to install - the following is an example:
