CCD-TRV108E No Image on Screen

Hello everyone,

I have a Sony CCD-TRV108E HandyCam which has the following fault: although both LCD screen and viewfinder are displaying icons, etc., there is no other image when in record mode. It is as though the lens cap is on - the screen is just black apart from the icons and symbols.

Does anyone know what the trouble may be? Faulty CCD sensor?

Hi James, welcome to the Sony Forums

It sounds as if the shutter is closed. Is your camera recording images ok?
