Problems with ARC connection

Hello. Just bought a new Bravia, and I’m having problems with the ARC connection. Every time I switch on, the tv fails to find the arc connection. If I take the plug out of the wall and power down completely, it finds it again and is ok using all connected devices until you place everything in standby, then it fails to connect again when you start up. It’s like it forgets the connection at start up. Can anyone help? I don’t want to go back to cabling up the sound bar again from all my devices. Thanks.

What make and model is the soundbar?

How is it powered; always on, or drops to standby if left?

Did the ARC work OK with the previous TV, whatever it was?

With the ARC connection failed, power the soundbar right off, and then on again. Is the ARC connection then made?

If so, get it to the failed condition again, and see if dropping the soundbar into standby and out again restores it.

I’m wondering if the TV is having to bring the soundbar out of standby (with CEC/BraviaSync) and then negotiate ARC, and it’s trying to do this too quickly for the soundbar to cope?
