Hi @chenks76

KD-49XD8305

  • MotionFlow XR 800
  • Stand Design = Silver U Slate
  • Finish (Surface Colour) = Black

KD-49XD8077

  • MotionFlow XR 400
  • Stand Design = Silver U Slate (Parallel)
  • Finish (Surface Colour) = Silver

KD-49XD8088

  • MotionFlow XR 400
  • Stand Design = Dark Silver U Slate (Parallel)
  • Finish (Surface Colour) = Black

I cannot see any other differences.  Same differences as above for the 43" versions.

Cheers

Hi @chenks76

In the UK, there are laws for Online purchases - assuming you have purchased the TV online.  See:

https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/changed-your-mind/changing-your-mind-about-something-youv...

Also, even if you purchased the TV in a shop, many retailers will allow you to exchange it within a set time.  However if you indeed was mis-sold then it should be far easier to do so - but your first port of call is the retailer.

Cheers

I always was talking about the retailer, which was Argos.

The site, and the receipt says x8305c, but what I actually have is x8309c.

I've had it for a week and only just realised.

It was bought and paid for online and collected at one of their stores.

Argos are more difficult than other retailers.  However as it was clearly purchased online, I see you still have a 14day "cooling off period".  Read the link I provided above.

"

You automatically get a 14-day ‘cooling-off period’ when you buy something you haven’t seen in person - unless it’s bespoke or made to measure.

The cooling-off period starts as soon as you receive your order, and there doesn’t need to be anything wrong with the item for you to get a refund.

I think that rule only applies to unopened items though...ie distance selling laws.

However as the item I received read not the item advertised then the should trump anything

Yes, certainly use the difference in model numbers first, but even then, it doesnt need to be un-opened.  The distance selling regulations are no more.  It is now the "Consumer Contract Regulations".
