KD-55XD8599 Bluetooth connection to Airpods

My KD-55XD8599 is running latested firmware, when I try to Bluetooth Pair with my Airpods the TV does not discover them. I've read all that I can find on the internet and reread Sony Pair instructions many times without success, any advice on why I have this problem and whats the solution please

Unfortunately simply your tv does not support bluetooth headphone at all. Never did

Hi @anothergo   As already stated. If you have a look at the specifications for your TV you will see that the A2DP Bluetooth profile required to connect to any audio device like speakers and headphones is missing 😂

Ok thank you for your response, the TV specification is not written in a way that the Bluetooth function can be readily understood by the average person. When you see the Bluetooth pairing function in the TV setup menu I assumed I could pair with my headphones.

If you have a look in the community there are alternative ways to install from play store a2dp drivers non officially supported by sony or you may want to buy rf wireless headphone that can be connected to whichever tv you like.

I've tried "Bluetooth Scanner" app which detected the Airpods and I think I got them paired on the a app but when I went to the Sony Setup for Bluetooth whilst the Airpods are now shown they wont connect. Any recommendations for an alternative app?

Someone reported in Italy "Bluetooth Pair" is working on XG80 that you have to sideload since it is not available on the Google Playstore
