Short life!

Could it be true that a 2000 € TV has no more than 3 years to live in?

My reboot constantly, it started quietly with me having to turn it off several times before staying off, and being able to start up at night. I think it has gotten sick in connection with an android update, but at the same time it does not have the latest update. Now it won't stay on long enough for me to get the latest update on it via USB key. And I can't get it started in factory reset mode either. The guarantee has of course just expired since TV was purchased in the first half of 2016, but it may be true that there is no help to get to, other than to scrap it.

Hi Lau,

Welcome to the community.

I'll see if I can find this out for you. Maybe someone else in the community can help in the meantime.

Thanks,

Pascale

Hi Lauserious,

That's very strange. If your TV is connected to the WiFi, can you try disconnecting the WiFi completely and try turning the TV on?

Hello Black rose.
It has always been connected to the internet via wireless Wifi, should it have an effect if I turn off the router, will TV not restart after a short time?

Hi Lauserious,

I think disconnecting the internet may temporarily resolve the problem. Could you give it a try and let me know how it went?

Hi Black Rose.

How do you suggest I turn off the internet?

I have tried starting TV at a different address than my own, where it was not connected to the Wi-Fi that TV knows from earlier.

Sincerely, Lau

Hi Lauserious,

I'd say turn off the router completely, then turn on the TV.

It has been tried unsuccessfully unfortunately. TV has also on other occasions been at another address where no known access point was found. In both situations it had no effect. Restart happens much earlier in the startup process I would think, maybe the firmware is currupt, so if you could just go through another reset procedure as it will take, it might ease the task./Lau
