DSE on new Bravia.

Hi all,

I recently bought a 43XF8096 and had to send it back because of DSE. I got a replacement which is similar and decided to try and get used to it as otherwise the picture is stunning. I’ve had the tv around 2 months now.

The problem comes when I’m gaming and pan the camera, the whole screen turns dirty looking. Currently I’m playing Dragon Quest 11 and it’s really noticeable.

Other than that the tv is fine, no clouding and black levels are really good. I guess my question is, is it worth contacting Sony about this to try to get it fixed? Can it be fixed? I’d not really want a replacement Tv as I could end up with a worse screen.

Thanks for any advice!

Hello @Fenbops,

what exactly do you mean with "dirty"?

Maybe it is a graphics setting like "motion blur" which causes this effect.

Hi, no it’s not motion blur, it happens on all games when panning the camera looking at blue skies or lighter coloured surfaces. It ruins what is an otherwise excellent TV.

I looked around the web and I believe it’s DSE or poor grey uniformity.
