Android 8.0 Oreo/ 9.0 Pie

Is it OK to expect Android Oreo on 2017 Sony Android TVs?

Indeed, happy beta testing guys, can someone who does get it confirm these issues?

  • no 4K video playback via stock Video app
  • no multi-channel (passthrough) audio with stock Video app (and some others)

I would be interested if the second one affects SPDIF as well as HDMI or if these have been fixed.

I will check all these things in depth and report back. Already on my list.

I am also working on a big Oreo update of my review.
