Adds Apps to Sony KD-49XG7093

I cannot find a way to add new apps to my Home Screen.

i have recently subscribed to the new Disney Plus channel and want to put in on my tv.

Help, please?

Just realised that's not an android tv

Not sure if Sony non android sets have disney+. If not do you have a chromecast or now tv box connected etc

Even if that was the case, I cannot download any apps. There doesn’t seem to be a way to get to where you could download any apps!

No, nothing else connected, other than Sky on digital.

I think you can sign in to disney on the sky box?

It looks like you can if you have Sky Q! I don’t unfortunately!

I'd post this on the other TVs thread, and also to disney support to see if it's being added to sony Linux TVs. 

However in the short term looks like you're stuck and may have to buy something like a roku, now tv box, firestick etc. Roku 4k is £29.99 at the moment at amazon, argos

I don't think your TV will support it but just in case can you cast to it from the disney app on your phone?

I answered about how go make a shortcut on the home screen, but it seems the app had not been installed.  On my android tv Disney+ shows up in the Google Play Store as a featured app!
