Microphone low volume

Hi,

I have my Xperia 1 for 6 months now and I have always had complains about the low volume of the microphone during calls. I've been told that the sound on the other end is muffled. I.got to a point that I can be bearly heard. I've checked the microphone opening and it is clean. I've run the diagnose test and it passed. I just can't imagine that I cannot use the phone for it's primary purpose  Please help folks with any ideas. Thanks!

I had the same but found out the case I was using had a mic hole that was very small and blocked some access to the mic, do you have a case on it?
