Finger print Sensor Temperamental

Hi All,

Loving my Xperia 1 but the fingerprint sensor never seems to recognise my fingerprint and seems very Temperamental.

Had an Xperia XZ3 before and never had an issues. Is anyone else seeing this?

I've tried remapping fingerprint but has made no difference.

Mine was fine with my middle finger and thumb, but not so good on my index finger. Remapping that finger improved it a lot.

to be honest i think it is a little too sensitive maybe because i keep on getting "partially finger print" error and reach the limit I have never had to use my pin to unlock in previous models but i use pin a lot on X1 as i keep on reaching limit. It gets every little sligt touch as an attempt.

This is my third Sony phone with finger print recognition. Never had a problem with the XZ3 or X5 premium. Love the Z1 but finger print recognition is aweful. 50/50 at best if it will work. Often have to press the on/off button to light up the screen before it works. Sometimes even this doesn't work. Sony have definitely gone backwards with this model.
