Hello, I'd like to express my disappointment that Sony has abandoned its typical design (dedicated camera button + 3.5mm headphone jack + bezels) which made it stand out and now follows the trend of pointless changes by dropping the headphone jack in flagships or the camera button in mid-range devices - providing solutions that seek to solve problems which don't even exist! The 21:9 display seems logical idea for multitasking and I support it (although it would be nice to have various display ratio options). In my opinion forcing customers to choose either a dedicated camera button or a 3.5mm headphones jack in the latest smartphones line (Xperia 1, 10, 10 Plus) is the first step of Sony losing its identity and blindly imitating others. I believe there are lots of people, who like me hate notches/punch-holes, rounded display corners (which take away screen area) and bezelless designs (which make holding the phone difficult without covering the display with hands). I hope that other fans will also join and take the time to express their frustration with the latest changes and make Sony design teams listen. Otherwise we'll quietly vote with our wallets. I hope this helps Sony to revise its designs for future models. Thank you.

3. Bring back Clear bass, Clear Audio+
4. Bring back Walkman application with SensMe
5. Add S-Master HX
1. Not going to happen in the vast majority of models now.
2. Not going to happen, what with data being so cheap, and countless music apps/radio apps out there.
3. There are other settings, which are just as good on current settings..
4. That was removed 3 years ago, SensMe is now "Genres". Less than 3% of the community used SensMe, and Genres was the wanted feature, so it was implemented in Music.
5. S-Master HX would be hardware level i assume. But from memory, the hardware and settings used, are near on identical.
Sony should bring back the headphone jack to their flagships. People want convenience, removing this headphone jack removes the whole point of having a phone. Not everyone owns a pair of bluetooth ear/headphones nor do people intend on paying so much for them, it is a diabolical choice, both in design and practicality. Bring it back and the customers will come flying in including myself, heck I'd pay the base price to Sony of the brand new phone the second it came out and I know many many others will too. Convenience is the key to sales and a headphone jack is exactly that.
I am with you!
I have been using Sony Phones since forever, and I really wanted to buy the next phone, Sony Xperia 5, until I saw that it is missing the Headphone jack... Unfortunately, after 12 years of Sony, I wil have to go to another to another brand...
There are few phones left with headphone jack.
The major brands have switched to BT connection.
Sony has a twin adapter on sale and you can buy them by the score on the parallel market.
Question: If you want a headphone jack for the sake of sound quality over even the best of BT, then I ask why are you using the phones INTERNAL DAC?
sIMPLY GET YOURSELF A USB C to USB A OTG cable and an AUDIOQUEST DRAGON FLY external dac/ headphone amplifier. HEY PRESTO you can use your WIRED HEADPHONES and the sound quality is better than ANY manufacturers internal DAC.
Lastly download USB AUDIO PLAYER and the sound quality for FLAC files and even high end MP3 is as good as an expensive hifi (when pared with decent headphones)
BTW The DAC is only the size of a USB flash drive too FTW
