Thank you for the replies so far.

I think I need to narrrow down my question a bit.

We have an analogue signal from the Freeview ( sorry about the 'preview' word in my original message) box to the VCR and TV however the problem is finding the channel which the VCR to TV RF output is using. There should be a test signal to help with this but there does not appear to be an obvious way to switch on this test signal.

Perhaps my question should be rephrased as "how do I switch on/off the RF test signal on this VCR"?

Message was edited by: rogerdgill

Message was edited by: rogerdgill

Hi,

this is a Sony website, however i took the liberty to have a look and there does not seem to be any support for this any more, but below is a link that you may find of help, other than that, well.................

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Aiwa-HV-GX150K-Video-Recorder-/300611087986?pt=UK_ConsumerElec_VCRs&hash=item45fdd12e72

Oh, and i should add that since the digital change over this will not accept digital signals so its very unlikely you will be able to record with it.

Message was edited by: Bravia55HX923

Message was edited by: Bravia55HX923

Hello Rogerdgill again,

Yes , it is now more clear in you 2nd post about what you want do.

Your freeview box (RF out) connected to VCR (RF in) by RF cable (let us call it Cable#1)

you connected another RF cable between VCR (RF out) to TV (RF in) (let us call it cable#2)

You search through analogue channel in TV but you cannot find the signal from VCR or Freeview box ... is that the problem you are facing ??

I think we have to isolate the problem by do the following steps:

1- disconnect the cable # 1 and play a VHS tape in the VCR , can you get the VCR picture on your TV?

2- connect a RF cable directly from Freeview box (RF out) to TV (RF in), can you get the picture of freeview box?

we will continue after getting the results

Thanks
