PS3 Ghosting on Sony Bravia

Hello all.

When I use component cables to record gameplay I have started to notice ghosting, I have tried different component cables and the results are the same.

My Tv is a Sony Bravia KDL-42W65xA and the ghosting is only a recent thing and I am unsure as to what could've caused it. I really do not believe the settings have ever been touched on the TV as we don't like fiddling with that stuff so any advice is appreciated, unless things have been changed when its updated firmware.

The console is fine when used with HDMI.

Hi there

The first thing to figure out is whether its the PS3 or the TV. I would suggest connecting it up to another TV (friends/family/neighbours if you dont have a second one). Swapping the cables is good.

However if it works fine using HDMI, why go back to component cables??

It needs to use Component to record.
