Sony Tablet S stuck at boot stage!

I had been really enjoying using my Tablet S until it failed to boot up a couple of days ago. The constant coloured wavy lines are very pretty but I want it to go further and boot up so that I can use the thing.

I've tried all the Sony resets but nothing changes.

According to web searches, this is a horrifyingly regular occurrence and there's NO FIX.

The tablet is now, in effect, useless.

Has anyone in the Community experienced similarly?

Is there any comment from Sony?
