Pioneer BD-ROM BDC-TD03 problem

My Vaio is displaying an error in Hardware Devices with the internal Pioneer BD-ROM BDC-TD03

It says the correct driver is already installed

When I click on properties it displays the following info

General :

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

Driver Version : 6.1.7601.17514

Also when i connect my USB external DVD drive i get an error in CD/DVD settings in Device Manager

The external DVD drive works fine on my desktop PC

I had this problem before & a kind gentleman on a forum told me to delete some reg setting but i cant remember how

Any ideas would be much apreciated
