I then had the exact same problem with my external USB hard drive. The 'device plugged in' noise plays, but nothing more. I get the device drivers installing message pop up, but then the 'unable to install device drivers mesage' and nothing is any better off. They both worked perfectly until a couple of days ago. Also strange that iTunes can detect the phone but windows explorer can not.<BR /><BR />I've noticed today that my built in webcam is also now not noticed, no idea why. evernote just launches but no sign of the webcam. <BR /><BR />With a bit of googling, it seems lots of people have issues with their USBs and windows 7, and there are myriad solutions online.
