fingerprint reader not found - VPCSE2K9E

I have a problem with finger print reader. Authen Tec TrueSuite is not able to find the sensor. The device manager correctly recognizes biometric device Authen Tec Inc. AES 1660, which is reported to work properly. I have the latest driver installed. On the other hand Windows (7) reports that it cannot find any biometric device. How to solve this problem?

As the device is recognised and reported as working correctly it would seem that it is not a driver problem.

Have you tried downloading and reinstalling the AuthenTec TrueSuite, Version 4.0.100.26 software from the Support site?

Yes, I reinstalled this version of AuthenTec TrueSuite from the Support site. This did NOT solve the problem.

Unless anyone else has any thoughts on this I suggest that you raise a case with Support.
