Hi

I have a PCG-TR2MP notebook. After it picked up a trojan recently I had to reinstall windows using the recovery disc and applications disc. I chose not to re-install all the Sony applications - those photo applications that I never use. My laptop is now as good as new again, apart from an annoying message that appears every time windows loads saying the I have to insert my Viao applications disc as the re-install isnt complete.

How do I stop this message each time I boot my laptop? Do I have to install all the applications which I dont want and dont use?

Thanks for any advice.

K

Have you tried putting the disk in when it asks? What happens then? If apparantly nothing does, try leaving the disk in and restarting the computer.

Thanks for the advice. When I put the disc in, I get a menu of all the original sony software to download. I want some of it, which I have downloaded. But I still keep getting that message when Windows load up!

If you are comfortable editing the startup manager, type msconfig, goto startup column and de-select the option that runs that program. not too sure which one it is offhand.

hope this helps
