hi, i have a sony dab 500u stuck on initial scan for dab radio i have tried the recommended fix (disconnect from battery) this doesnt work. i have tried dissconecting the dab antenna to see if it would work in fm mode but i cant even change the unit to fm using the mode button. any ideas? i also tested the dab antenna and it works with another head unit just fine, antenna power is alo turned on, any advice would be welcome before i bin it and buy a pioneer.

Hi there

Is there a specific error message on the unit itself?

Can you also try turning OFF Antenna Power (even though its ON by default). The manual states that having it on or off is dependent on the DAB Antenna. You never know.
