USB Tethering

I have a Xperia X and it has always worked great, until now 😪

I use my phone to connect to my pc and always when i plug it in i get the message on my phones screen how i want to connect it, bit now nothing.

I have tryed to use diffrent usb cables, dont work. I have tryed it on other pc's, dont work i have even resetted my Phone but nope.

I can only se usb tethering in gray on my Phone, and it says that no usb cable is connected, but it charge my Phone.

I have tryed everything.

Do any of you have a solution?

(Sorry for my bad english).

Hi @Ravendoux, welcome to the community.

If it's charging I suspect it will be either a cable or port issue.

Carefully check the connecting port on your phone for dirt/debris, and if that makes no difference, keep trying different cables.

Try this buddy

It looks like the USB settings have changed, try this: (solution may differ slightly as im going by my xperia 1, you can FORCE the USB on the phone to select what you want.

in settings go to search and type USB.

Then under "Use USB For"

Select file transfer (if you wish to transfer files"
