Fingerprint manager not available after software repair

I had to repair the software after being damaged last week, I lost all my data and now it is using android 6 however I couldn't find fingerprint manager anymore in the security section, how can I get it back again

I just used the pc companion for that, I didn't receive any messages regarding version, if the US version doesn't have FP manager, so why installing this version

The reason I ask is because the US variants of the Z5 series do not include the Fingerprint Scanner. I am not sure what the reasoning behind this is but that's the way it is. If you have installed the US version of the firmware on your handset, the Fingerprint Manager option will no longer be available.

I know now @CameronT the US variant doesn't have fingerprint, however I didn't choose that, it was there before and when re-installed the software again using pc companion, it clearly installed a wrong variant, now how can I get the correct one

PCC can't install a wrong variant, only if you use third party software such as Xperifirm or flashtool.

No, I used pc companion, I followed the instructions it gave me, shutting down, connect, press power and voice done etc

If your phone is from the USA it will install the US version of the firmware. Where is your phone from originally?

I bought it from Saudi Arabia, so it should not give the US version

Repair the phone with PCC, Bridge or XC > do NOT install any app nor restore anything > test the phone.

I'm from Malaysia and i encounter the same problem. My device is Xperia Z5 Dual. It happen suddently when i'm on Android Marshmallow. Then i update the system to Android Nougat but the fingerprint manager still not available. Please explain. Fingerprint functionality very important to me.

The short answer is that you need to re-install the software again as the version you installed doesn't have the fingerprint manager. Now I know that you followed the link you received and but sometimes the software is not suitable for your area.

You need to go to a Support Center and ask for the suitable upgrade that contains the FPM
