      <title>Usb otg support for Android 5.1.1</title>

      <description>Im experiencing problems connecting usb drive to the xperia z3. The phone charges ok via usb. It also connects to pc via usb.&lt;BR /&gt;So i don't know what the problem is with usb mass storage connection!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Kindly assist&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;NB:&lt;BR /&gt;I did usb host diagnosis and found api support with question marks and also kernel had question marks.&lt;BR /&gt;Does this mean it has software related isssues then? Probably a bug and will go with the next update</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I think they changed the USB detection in 5.0 to accommodate the Z3+/Z4 etc etc.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Because these models have waterproof USB ports, they put the USB otg setting in&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;/settings/device connection/USB connection/ detect USB device.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Try that, although the Z3 has a different port, they may have just put the setting there to keep things continuous between models.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Android 5.1. 1 does not have option for detect usb connection.&lt;BR /&gt;Just has media transfer or mass storage ( i have tried both) and install software to pc&lt;BR /&gt;I tried 2 otg cables and also the same cables work on another phone ( xperia z).</description>

      <description>Wow...now thats strange if you have 5 1 1 and can connect and i cant.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I used android usb host diagnostic app.. And found that my android api has question marks instead of yes. Even for kernel support mine shows question mark, while its supposed to yes for support.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I dont know if its and issue with my update and that its a bug on my phone.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Which app do U use for testing? It's&amp;nbsp;probably issue when updating to newer version of android, try to reflash current f.w. once againg. If this dosen't help try factory data reset.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I have a D6633 and I have not been able to use a USB OTG (either via a cable or a propper USB OTG pen drive) since updating to 5.1.1 on my D6633, I have done the repair, I have even tried different Firmware versions with NO LUCK.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My guess, Sony, in all it's wisdom has enabled it for some regions and disabled it for others. That's the only logical answer to some people being able to use it and others not.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;WHY SONY DOES NOT BOTHER TO RESPOND TO USERS? It's beyond me.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So, thank sony for breaking it for you......&lt;/P&gt;</description>
